Attorney biography

A resourceful advocate with a global perspective.

The middle of three daughters, whose mother was a registered nurse and whose father was a board-certified pediatric dentist and U.S. Army Colonel, Kimberly was born in Bangkok, Thailand. She grew up in Europe as well as the United States and traveled extensively.

Kimberly earned her J.D. from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California, which included studying abroad in Italy and Ireland through the University of San Diego. During the day, she worked to protect corporate legal interests. At night, Kimberly attended law school, earning her place on the Honor Roll, an American Jurisprudence Award, and serving her classmates as their elected representative to the Student Bar Association.

As a law student and former competitive gymnast and swimmer, Kimberly volunteered for the After-School Sports Connection at the University of Southern California (USC), providing refuge for inner-city kids through athletics and team membership. For her dedication, Kimberly received the Distinguished Public Service Award. She also completed her B.A. at USC.

Continuing her legal education on the East Coast, Kimberly endured the frozen “tundra-like” conditions of Concord, New Hampshire, to earn an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from Franklin Pierce Law Center. After returning to the welcome warmth of Southern California, she earned an LL.M. in Entertainment and Media Law from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, concluding her studies in London, England.

From early retail sales to specialized education, authoring Negligence in the United States, and years of legal experience, Kimberly is a resourceful and detail-oriented attorney admitted to the State Bar of California and The Florida Bar. She now resides in Florida, where she serves clients of her solo law practice, KimRim Law, P.A. Having been a client herself through years of tumultuous litigation regarding her late husband’s estate, Kimberly understands and works to alleviate client concerns—remaining results-focused and offering flat-fee legal services rather than “blank check” hourly billing. She is a problem-solver with an innate ability to adapt quickly to changing goals and objectives, and has a genuine interest in untangling predicaments and advocating on behalf of her clients.

Kimberly is also creative, with an appreciation for the arts. She enjoys photography, especially when the subjects are her rescued pets. She supports organizations dedicated to the rescue, protection, and humane treatment of animals, and participates in charitable events honoring the memory of family, friends, and pets lost to cancer, diabetes, suicide, and traumatic brain injury.
